  • "Were I to use the wits the good Spirits gave me," he said, "then I would say this lady cannot exist -- for what sane man would hold a dream to be reality. Yet rather would I not be sane and lend belief to charmed, enchanted eyes."

The second part of the second book of the Foundation Series, by Isaac Asimov who is the founder of modern Science Fiction. The above quotation is a rare (and the only) happy interlude of an otherwise depressing, disheartening story, which the reader suddenly found himself crashed into after one and a half book of sunny weather. I like sad stories, espcially those which would struck your heart into sustaining doldrums ever-descending every page you turn.
